CASE COMPETITION
In 2021, MSWI launched the first edition of the SciComm Case Competition.
Over 20 teams and 70 participants were asked to research a creative topic pertaining to this year’s theme of Environment. The teams were asked to write an abstract and a newspaper article on their individual topics. Eleven finalist teams were selected to continue onto the next round, where they created a children’s picture book in addition to writing a literature review. To conclude the semester-long competition, MSWI hosted a SciComm Symposium in April, where the finalist teams had the chance to present their projects to McGill alumni, SciComm judges, friends, and family, and where the winning teams were announced.
